Slowly she drifted to the southeast, rising higher and higher as the flames ateaway her wooden parts and diminished the weight upon her. Ascending to the roof of the building I watched her for hours until she was lost in the dim finally.

Delete the negative; accentuate the positive! I love to design things that people can actually buy. I'm staggered by what a boot costs today. All I did my first year at Vogue was Xerox. Fashion can be this mysterious thing that you can't explain. The important thing is to take your time and not get stressed. My learning process is by eye alone; it's not at all scientific. The only way to do something in depth is to work hard. There has to be a balance between your mental satisfaction and the financial needs of your company. An evening dress that reveals a woman's ankles while walking is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Confidence. If you have it, you can make anything look good.
Instead of buying six things, one thing that you really like. Don't keep buying just for the sake of it. Design is a series of creative choices - it's a collaborative effort, an evolutionary process. You choose your fabrics depending upon what you want to say, then you work with mills to get those fabrics. Through the process, you realize what you want it to be. Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. It's sometimes said that I'm rebellious and I do things to push people's buttons, but I just like the challenge. Delete the negative; accentuate the positive!
Nostalgia is a very complicated subject for me. I'm attracted by nostalgia but I refuse it intellectually. There are always protests, whether you do something good or bad. Even if you do something beneficial, people say you do it because it's advertising. Everything I do is a matter of heart, body and soul. I have my favourite fashion decade, yes, yes, yes: '60s. It was a sort of little revolution; the clothes were amazing but not too exaggerated. You have to stay true to your heritage; that's what your brand is about. For me, the summer will be pure gray - mother-of-pearl gray, very pale gray. To me, this is the big statement for summer. Then we have light blue, light turquoise, lots of pink. I've always tried to push myself technically and to push myself visually. That's been part of the journey. There are only three things I can do - make a dress, decorate a house, and entertain people. There is always an emotional element to anything that you make. We must never confuse elegance with snobbery.
